CVT
Chemical vapor transport crystal growth (iodine transport agent in early UTe2 work).
MSF
Molten-salt flux growth; yields higher Tc (~2.1 K) and much higher RRR.
RRR
Residual resistivity ratio; higher generally means fewer defects.
γ / γ*
Sommerfeld specific-heat coefficient; γ* often denotes residual C/T in the superconducting state.
Hc2
Upper critical magnetic field that destroys superconductivity.
Pauli (Clogston–Chandrasekhar) limit
Paramagnetic pair-breaking scale ≈1.86 Tc (in tesla for Tc in kelvin) for singlet superconductors.
Metamagnetism
Sharp field-induced magnetization increase; in UTe2 near 34–35 T for H∥b.
SCFP / halo
High-field superconducting phase wrapping the b axis in angle–field space.
TRSB
Time-reversal symmetry breaking.
Polar Kerr effect
Optical probe of TRSB via nonreciprocal reflection of circularly polarized light.
Knight shift
NMR frequency shift proportional to local spin susceptibility.
d-vector
Spin-space vector describing a triplet superconducting order parameter.
PDW
Pair density wave: superconducting order modulated at finite wavevector.
Odd parity
Orbital wavefunction odd under k → −k; required for triplet pairing in centrosymmetric crystals.
